Visiting Wexford

County Wexford, in the very south east corner of Ireland is steeped in history, blessed with long sandy beaches, good weather and strawberries!

There are many heritage sites to visit, with many Viking and Norman settlements, the Kennedy Homestead, Hook House Lighthouse and Curracloe beach, the location for parts of Steven Spielberg’s 1998 Oscar winning film “Saving Private Ryan”.

Wexford is also known for it’s vibrant cultural life including the Wexford Opera Festival, Wexford Light Opera Society, countless Trad groups and singer songwriters… a County with something for every musical taste.
