Banshee Brass Ensemble - Royal Irish Academy of Music

The first of two lunchtime concerts by students from the RIAM features the Banshees Brass Ensemble.

Contrapunctus IX from the Art of the Fugue - J.S Bach (4 mins)

  2. Quintet No. 1 - Victor Ewald (13 mins)

  3. Selections from West Side Story (10 mins)

  4. Vuelta del Fuego - Kevin McKee (8 mins)

These concerts will be devoted to groups from RIAM’s third level programmes (BMus, MMus, DipMus, Recital Artist Diploma) consisting of students training at the RIAM for careers as professional musicians. RIAM has over 30 chamber music groups studying on third level programmes, many of whom aspire for chamber music to be a viable career option. A special selection process is linked to RIAM's chamber music exams, from which, outstanding groups are selected for the Music for Wexford recital opportunities, offering a professional platform for pre-professional chamber musicians.
