The purpose of Music for Wexford is to stage a series of concerts that presents interesting programmes performed by wonderful musicians. Since its foundation in 1993 Music for Wexford has presented Wexford audiences with an impressive programme of chamber music concerts featuring both Irish and international musicians. As well as acquiring a beautiful grand piano in its early years, the organisation has constantly worked towards providing high calibre concerts which are priced to make them available to everyone.

Each year Music for Wexford has sought to stage a series of concerts that represents an attractive, interesting, and sometimes unfamiliar repertoire performed by wonderful musicians.

Music for Wexford also have a particular interest in promoting young musicians and singers at the start of their careers and have developed a close relationship with the RIAM to create performance opportunities for talented young musicians. In 2022, Music for Wexford began a “Wexford Strings” programme which allowed young musicians from Wexford and around Ireland to work and perform in concert with the highly acclaimed Musici Ireland. This will be expanded over the coming years, to include wind and brass players and a focus on Wexford young musicians.

The annual programme is managed by a highly motivated team who work all year round to ensure the best performers come to Wexford and deliver the very best in live classical music performance.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.eventbrite.ie or on the door at performances.
